Open the XP Mode Virtual machine (VM) and then run Windows Explorer from the VM. Navigate to the CD and copy the entire directory of dbx files to the VM Desktop. Then right click on the files and clear their read only attribute (OE cannot import read only files and folders.dbx must be present). Then open OE on the VM and go to File | Import | Messages and choose to import from a directory and point to the directory of dbx files. You can also import individual dbx files as usual (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1). More info on using OE in XP Mode can be found here: www.oehelp.com/OEnWin7.aspx If you have the registry keys backed up for the entries on the older computer, then delete the keys that are currently present on the VM and then merge the backed up keys. Seewww.oehelp.com/backup.aspx for details. steve "tahititom09" wrote in message news:0a199483-a279-4c46-b55e-f5b8bc2b2c46...i managed to copy my mail.dbx folder onto an CD - NOW WHAT - tocopy those files into my XP Mde directories on my new Win7 computer???sometimes frustrated - BUT ALWAYS LEARNING MORE !!
