MS Access 2003 Crashes on Windows 7
After the last round of patches, I keep having problems with Access crashing. It is Office 2003 SP3. Below is the last crash from the event log. I am running a Dell Latitude E6410 with 4gm RAM. There was simillar issue with Outlook - problem also in riched20.dll. As solution there was renaming riched20.dll and repair Office 2003 installation.

Sorry, my replyt was to moving the post. But I did rename the dll and perform the repair. No change. It is not just Access, but Word will also crash.

Yes, this is a shared library... I hope that someone will help you in a different post... Just, would you try to find on your system drive this file (maybe it is also in different location) and check it's version? (in properties) It should be (according one forum) 5.30.23.1221 - Windows XP SP2 (this one is present in the uSP 2.1a) 5.30.23.1226 - Windows XP SP2 KB896430 5.40.11.2212 - Office XP SP3 5.50.99.2012 - Office 2003 KB900459 (also in SP3) If the version will be lower, try to replace the file with higher file version.
