MS CHAP V1 DEPRICATED
Seems that with this version MS ChapV1 being depricated for Windows 7 is a bad decision.
My company uses and older Cisco VPN Concentrator that usesV1 and as I'm sure that many other companies will face the same issue in attempting to migrate to Window 7 in the future.
I agree that the protocol should go away in favor of a more secure MS Chap v2. But knowing that my company small by many
standards 2000 PC's the company is and has always pinched pennies. And the additonal cost to implement Cisco or another
vendors VPN is not likely to happen anytime soon.
If anyone has or knows a way to get around this issue please let me know as util this issue is resolved or the company allows us
to get up todate it will be difficult to migrate to Windows7. We bypassed Vista in part due to this and many other reasons as MS is fully aware of.
Thanks for the time to vent on this.

Vista is the upgrade path to Win7. If there was no way to use it in Vista, you can be certain Win7 will not vary from that.Rating posts helps other users
