Here's my standard advice on security products: For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you are willingto pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one of thefollowing three: AviraAvastMicrosoft Security Essentials You also need anti-spyware software. I recommend that you download andinstall (both freeware) MalwareBytes AntiMalware *and*SuperAntiSpyware. > What will I be giving up? Nothing. You will be *gaining* better security and better performance. Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Ken Blake

Firstly, it is really up to you to decide. You could switch to Microsoft Security Essentials but make sure you use Symantec Clean up tools to completely remove Norton. If you have Firewall, MSE did NOT come with Firewall and you should use Windows Firewall.Norton Safety Toolbar is NOT there but you could use Internet Explorer 8 which come with SmartScreen filter.Microsoft Security Essentials also give you free technical support.
