I am bit confused.
Are you talking about Windows Media Center or Windows Media Player 12?
To install Windows 8.1 Media Center Pack, you must be running Windows 8.1 Pro and not Windows 8 Enterprise Edition.

Hello mike Coady,
Do you use Windows 8.1 Enterprise?
You can go to Control Panel\Programs, click Turn Windows features on or off.
And then, check Windows Media Player.
Please take a look at the following screenshot.

Hi to those that replied to my Media Player issue. It may be that while the DVD/CD drive can run a DVD it will not start up a DVD. It recognises that a disc is in the system, however it does not read the files to start up e.g. Autorun or *
I believe you are correct. In setting up the Media account and its operation, then using the trouble shooter it tells me that Media Player is not compatible with the Enterprise version. My license finishes in 35 days, I gather I will revert to Win 8.1 Pro that I had before accepting the down load to the Enterprise Version.
