Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse drops connection whenever laptop sleeps
I have a microsoft bluetooth mouse 5000 that looses its connection to the computer whenever the laptop sleeps. It is a HP Touchsmart tx2 laptop running 64bit Win 7 home premium ver 6.1 build 7600. I have to remove the mouse from Windows and use the add new hardware function to re-establish the connection each time after awakeniung the computer. I have tried doing this both rebooting the computer as directed after connecting the mouse (there is a popup that indicates a reboot is needed most of the times I reconnect the mouse), and tried not rebooting. There seems to be no difference, the mouse is no longer workign the next time the computer sleeps and reloads, or the next time the computer is rebooted. It usually still shows in the devices and printer screen, but does not work at all (no movement and no button clicks). The touchpad on the laptop does work so I can reconnect it but that takes several minutes to remove it and add it again. John

Hi, Perhaps your Bluetooth device’s problem is caused by the hardware. But you may kindly refer to the following to have a try. You may try to upgrade the driver to the latest version at http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/downloads/default.mspx , upgrade your mainboard BIOS and driver to have a try. Can you advise me Whether you have tried it on the other computer? For more information, please contact Microsoft Hardware at http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/support/default.mspx .
