Microsoft ISATAP Continually Reinstalls
I have a Dell laptop running Vista Home Premium SP1. All of the sudden every time that I wake the laptop from sleep it reinstalls the Microsoft ISATAP driver. It's now been reinstalled about 5 times, although there doesn't appear to be the issue where the driver shows up in Device Manager with a yellow question mark.Any ideas as to what's going on here would be much appreciated!

Hi, Lets take the following steps to troubleshoot reinstalling driver issue. 1. Click Start, right click Computer and choose Properties. 2. Click Device Manager. 3. Navigate to ISATAP, right click it and choose Properties. 4. Choose Power Management tab. 5. Please uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. 6. Choose Driver tab, 7. Please click Update Driver to install the latest driver. 8. Restart the computer and test this issue again. Regarding the yellow question mark, you can safely ignore this error message. This error message does not indicate a problem with the adapter. For more information, please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article: On a Windows Vista-based computer or on a Windows Server 2008-based computer, the Microsoft ISATAP adapter appears with a yellow exclamation mark next to it in Device Manager, and you also receive an error message http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932520/en-us Hope it helps.
