It will put in Add/Remove program for you to uninstall it. It is normal that when you install MSE it will come in Add/Remove program and you could uninstall from there. If it is NOT there then there is an issue . You don't need to format your PC. MSE will install easy and uninstall easy.You could try contact support:https://support.microsoftsecurityessentials.com/To know what is wrong but before that recheck add/remove program carefully again for MSE.
