Microsoft Updates website will not open on my computer
here are my steps Start - All programs - windows update. When the page opens in Internet Explorer I am getting an error message saying this page can not be displayed. I have also tried going directly to Internet Explorer and entering the address from there but that wont work either.1 person needs an answerI do too

Thanks for the info Noel. the computer wont allow that site either. Have tried several different virus fixes and it will not allow any of them. I have been told I have to back up my computer and restore it to the condition I got it in from Dell. Is that what you would recommend?

Is that what you would recommend?You need to go to a specialist forum for assistance - try either Aumha.net, or bleepingcomputer.com - they are two of the best available.Make sure that you follow the advice on their Malware Removal forums stickies BEFORE your first post there! Yes - you could do a complete reformat/reinstall - but that's an awful lot of work, and you learn nothing from it. going through the removal procedures will hopefully teach you how to protect your computer in the future!
