Mobile Phone As 'Wireless Modem' question..
Hi,I'm trying to configure my mobile phone (I-Mate JASJAR) as wireless modem on my laptop which has Vista Business.I have downloaded & installed the utility from www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...icecenter.mspx in order to establish SYNC between my mobile (I-Mate JASJAR) & laptop (Vista) Since the CD that came with Mobile was compatible only with XP, i downloaded 'Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit)' from URL mentioned & simply installed it.Despite activating BLUETOOTH on the mobile, i'm still not able to link the 2 together i.e setting up 'Bluetooth Device' on my laptop ?!On Vista: Start > Control Panel > Bluetooth Devices. Click on Add >> Does'nt recognise my Mobile phone !I-Mate JASJAR has Windows Mobile & also BT technology.PLEASE ADVISE.Mave

Thanks for your reply.I hope you understand that this is a VISTA problem & not Windows Mobile issue !My Vista Business is not 'picking up' my mobile as a BT device.

Hi, I understand that the Windows Vista system does not recognize the mobile phone even though Bluetooth is enabled on the mobile phone. Please understand that the engineers in Windows Mobile Forum are more familiar with the issues regarding the connectivity/communication between Windows Vista and mobile phone. Thus, I suggest submitting the issue in Windows Mobile Forum to ensure that the issue can be resolved more efficiently. In addition, please check if the computer can detect other Bluetooth enabled device to narrow down the issue. I also performed researches regarding this issue and included the following link for your reference: Troubleshoot problems with Bluetooth enabled devices http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/11a74104-645d-40d4-b933-bde5d15537bb1033.mspx#EI Hope it helps.
