Modify default Firewall Settings over Reg Key or SCCM ?
Hello, we recently deployed 200 Windows 7 Pc's, Imaged based. But now thers a little "mistake" in the Firewall Config in the Image. Incoming File and Printer Share Service Traffic is allowed, and Remote Support is available from all IP. On Windows XP we used to only allow a Short "Support IP Range" to acces Remote Support and File Shares. On 7 we still use Remote Support, so if i applie a Block Rule over Group Policy the Support IP Range will also be Blocked. So what i basicly wanna do is modify the local Firewall Settings of the Windows 7 Client. I tried to Correct the Settings on a PC and Export the Reg Key HKLM\System\CurrentControlset\services\sharedacces\parameters\firewallrules\ and Import the Reg key on a different Maschine, but that didn't influence the local Settings. Exporting and importing the hole Key HKLM\System\CurrentControlset\services\sharedacces\ made the Firewall Service Fail on the target Computer. Does anybody have an idea how i can change the Local Settings of the Firewall remotely? best regads Stefan

Hi, Based on my understanding, I think the firewall settings can be deployed via Group Policy. I want to know what kind of server do you use? If you are using Windows server 2008 R2, the settings can be totally deployed to the clients. The following link for your reference. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753955(WS.10).aspx Also, You can export the firewall settings on a client which you already set it up and then import the wfw file to the other clients.
