Multiple drive letters being mapped
I have two desktops and a laptop, all running XP and they are networked. Recently desktop "A" has started automatically mapping all remaining drive letters to the main hard drive on the other desktop "B". This is a problem as it prevents one from using a jump drive without disconnecting the extra mapped drive letter(s), and it may be creating other unknown problems. The drive letters can be disconnected (individually), but reconnected drive letters get added sometimes almost instantly. The process is random, but generally they will all get used up within an hour or so. This machine is the only one running email software (Thunderbird). All machines have been updated with latest XP updates, all running latest updates of F-prot virus software, and all checked recently for spyware using Spybot.I suspect some application other than XP may be causing this, but I'm not really sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks 1 person needs an answerI do too
