Hi all, I am having a strange problem with my Win7 in which the network gets disconnected (goes into unidentified mode) and the only way to solve it is to unplug the Ethernet and plug it again! I tired to renew the IP but with no use. Also, if i restart my ADSL modem then the PC goes online but shortly after it goes to the unidentified mode! Note that this also happened to my Old WinXP machine (i have upgraded my PC hardware since) but the problem happened again with Win7 and with new hardware and with diffrent ADSL Modems. I have a Comodo firewall and my antivirus is Avast. Any help is appreciated, thanx

The problem could lies with the third party firewall. Either configure it or uninstall it for the time being and next try accessing the net again and see how it goes

Thanx Daniel for the reply. Actually i have uninstalled my firewall and used Windows Firewall but it didn't solved the issue. The same goes to the antivirus.

Dear Arthur, Very sorry for not marking it as the correct answer and taking this long to reply :). but I have uninstalled the firewall and the antivirus but the problem remains. What is odd about it is that there isn't any pattern for the occurrence. Meaning that one day the problem will repeat more than once (even more than once per hour) and it will stop happening for no reason.
