My Windows 7 machine is not showing up as a media device across the network.
I have 4 Windows 7 machines on a local network and in a homegroup. When looking at the network devices from any pc, I can see all the machines on our network and homegroup, and all but one as media devices. That one machine is visible to other machines across the network and homegroup as a shared machine only. I have Media Center set up and picture and video libraries defined and shared. I have verified that my network is set up as a "Home Network" and disabled password protected sharing for home networks. In Windows Media Player I have selected the options to "Automatically Allow Devices to Stream my Media". Under "More Streaming Options", I have named my library and selected "All Networks" and selected to allow all devices to access my media. I have tried disabling sharing, rebooting and re-enabling media sharing, but with no success. Any steps beyond these would be appreciated. I'm running out of ideas.

1. For a test, try to disable firewall on tha "faulting" machine. 2. Compare open ports in functional PCs and faulting one. 3. Does not seeing the media device is accompanied by malfunction of this machine? Regards Milos
