My computer is unable to access the internet using addresses such as microsoft.com, but if I type in the IP address of microsoft.com, it will find the site.  The same computer if booted into linux off a cd will access the internet with no problems.
Symantec antivirus had to be removed and got hung up on removal. The computer had to be reset durring uninstall. I have done this and it did not help: RUN: "ipconfig /flushdns RUN: ipconfig /registerdns Set TCP/IP to obtain DNS server automatically. 1 person needs an answerI do too
