My headphones aren't on the playback list/No sound
Hello, I recently installed Win7RC1 Build 7100 and I noticed that I can't hear anything via my headphones. I tried checking the playback devices and my headphones aren't detected! I also noticed that I don't have my disk that came with my pc so I have no idea where to get my sound drivers if I don't have them! Anyone mind helping me out?

Hi ErghantarYour best source of drivers is the manufacturer of those headphones.First determine who the manufacturer is, then use an internet search to find that companies website and look for the drivers there.Look for Windows 7 drivers first, if none are available yet, look for the latest Vista drivers.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 RC Ronnie Vernon MVP

Hello, thank you for the reply. I found the drivers (They were Vista ones (No Win7)) and I installed them. It then asked me to restart my pc so I did that yet still no sound. Any other ideas? EDIT: I'm happy to say my problem is fixed. Thank you both for the tips! :)

disable the onboard sound, and only use the realtek sound that should clear things up. if you have the default sound as the realtek.
