This is almost always due to malware. I strongly recommend you download and run a specific tool that scans for an otherwise almost undetectable infection known as the TDSS or Alureon root kit. I have found that to be the most common recent cause of inability to access MS, though not the only possible one. Most antivirus programs including Microsoft Security Essentials (which is good overall) generally do not detect this and, if detected, cannot remove it.It would also be advisable to download and run Malwarebyteshttp://malwarebytes.org/How to remove malware belonging to the family Rootkit.Win32.TDSS (aka Tidserv, TDSServ, Alureon)?http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684 "Whillie" wrote in message news:Email removed for privacy...Whenever I open my internet browser and the homepage is microsoft.com it say there is network problem but when I change the web address into yahoo.com or google.com it display the page. another thing i am using microsoft security essential as my anti-virus but unfortunately it doesn't update. it says that there is internet connection problem.
