My students are locking the keyboard
I teach keyboarding and computer applications. Somehow, my students have discovered a way to lock the keyboard, except for the Start Button. All we can do is reboot. Any suggestions?I've tried Google, but I only get instructions to lock the computer.1 person needs an answerI do too

Most keyboards don't have "Start" button... I remember in the Windows '98 days when I purchased a keyboard with a locking feature. More than likely it is a keyboard "feature" rather than a Windows feature. Try going to your keyboard manufacturer's website and see if you can find a manual for that keyboard and see if there is a locking/unlocking sequence. If it is the keyboard, then simply unplugging it from your computer for several seconds might cause it to power-cycle and unlock that way. It would be quicker than rebooting the machine.HTH, JW

If you're the teacher, you are supposed to be in charge, not the students.
