I am sooo confusedWell, the first step would be to look at the make and model, including version, of your router. But an N adapter ought to be able to connect to a G router. What is the make, model, and version of your router? What is the make, model, and version of your adapter?Does the computer with the new adapter detect your network but not connect, or does it not even detect your network?Even if you can't detect your own network, can you detect any wireless networks? What version of Windows, including service pack, is running on this computer?Did you install the new adapter with a CD that came with it?Did you get any error messages when you installed the new adapter?

I'm running Windows XP; it's a sagem router supplied to me by Sky, and I was using a Realtek wireless adaptor which installed fine with the included cd, and no it didn't even detect my network - I phoned Sky and they recommend using a Netgear adaptor so I'm hoping that solves the problem, off to Argos I go tomorrow! And if that doesn't work, I'll be back here instead!! :)
