NETSH - what does this do?
Hi, I was recently stopping in a hotel and had trouble using their wireless network. I phoned their helpline and was told to type the following into a DOS box. netsh int tcp set global disabled disabled disabled Unfortunately the person on the phone was unable to tell me what I was actually doing - they just had this 'fix' listed for Vista! Typical help desk! Whilst I don't like doing things to mylaptop I don't understand I was desperate to get online so I did it (and it fixed the issue). Now I'm looking to understand more about what I've done and more importantly how I reverse it (or if I should reverse it). Can anyone shed some light on this? A bit of background... The machine in question is a Sony Vaio BX series running Vista Business. As for the user, I'm a software engineer by trade so I understand a bit about computers but I'm no network techie! Thanks in advance. CA.

This has to do withthe Receive Auto Tune featurein Windows Vista. Some devices may have problems with it.
