We have a Windows XP Pro machine with SP3 installed. When I try to run this command from the command prompt:net use LPT3 \\server\printsharenameI get "The local device name is already in use". If I run "net use", I get a lst of mapped connections, but no listing for LPT3.If I run "net use LPT3 /delete", I get "The network connection could not be found." If I then run "net use LPT3 \\server\printsharename" again, I still get "The local device name is already in use". That's despite the fact that I've already tried to delete any connection on LPT3 and "net use" shows nothing mapped to LPT3.When I try these steps on other WinXP computers on our network, the "net use LPT3"... command completes sucessfully.How can I overcome this problem on this particular computer?
