OP here.Norton Internet Security 2008 is not compatible with Windows 7.It doesn't matter anyway, Kapersky is much lighter and the beta lasts until the Windows 7 beta ends.This thread is now solved.

Actually, NIS '09 is compatible with Windows 7. I installed it in the Windows Vista compatibility mode and it's been working great for the past two weeks. I did try NIS '08 with the same approach, but it would not install.
