Need some help with starting up Windows 7 (BSOD)
Hi everyone, here is my situation. My computer a few days ago froze while I was playing a game of Counter Strike: Source. I had to manually turn off and turn on my computer to fix it. When I restarted, I got to the "Starting Windows" screen and then the screen went black, my Num Lock indicator on my keyboard turned off, and my computer hung for about 30 seconds and gave me a BSOD with this message: http://img717.imageshack.us/i/img00130201101221141.jpg/ I haven't added anything to my computer or changed any hardware in it recently other than a new wireless mouse. I tried restarting the computer with my wireless mouse's USB plugged in and out and I got the same BSOD message. I tried going through Startup Repair and System Restore but even doing those and restarting my computer I still got the same BSOD message after the "Starting Windows" screen I decided to prep for the worst, so I went into safe mode and took all my important files off of my C Drive and put it on an external drive, and I reformatted my computer with my Windows 7 Installation disk I booted up my computer again, and STILL got the same BSOD message even with a fresh install of Windows 7. I tried Startup Repair and it didn't work. I can't do System Restore either because I have a fresh install of Windows 7. At this point I'm running out of ideas and I haven't been able to see my normal desktop for about 3 days now. Thankfully I have a laptop but I would like my regular pc to be up and running for the other folks who live in my home. Does anybody have any tips or advice for me to fix my BSOD problem? You may notice on my picture above my BSOD screen has some horizontal lines running across it like the image been scratched up. My bootup screen also has the same horizontal "scratches". I'm not sure if they're related, but in the past my BSODs didn't have any weird things on it. If it helps, here are my system specs Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 4GB Ram BFG Nvidia 8800GT Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit 640GB Hard Drive (Main Drive) 750GB Hard Drive (Media Drive) *500GB External Hard Drive (Backup) Thank you all SO much in advance if you can help me out! Thanks and have a great weekend!
