Need to know how to apply KB955839 DST Update on Windows 7 Beta
Hi I need to know how can I apply KB955839 Time Zone update for Daylight Saving Time (DST) on my Windows 7 Beta? Windows Update does'nt get it automatically, and I can't find a downloadable version onhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/955839/ so I need to know is there anyway to find one or manually force install of it in Windows? Thank you.

I need to ask: why?Windows 7 beta (builds 7000 and later) shouldn't need that update, owing mainly to the fact that it was released well after the update (for Vista & earlier) was.Any particular issue that you're having, that you feel would be corrected by KB955839?FWIW, I saw no need to try to apply that update to this Win7 machine - its clock reset itself as it should.-Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. Well, my problem is Windows 7 does not show the "Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time" checkbox for Tehran time zone (Iran Standard Time, +03:30) which as far as I know was removed in KB942763, and thenreintroduced in KB951072 with a date modification after that in KB955839. Actually it is a little weird, because if I set my time zone to Kabul for example, it will say "Daylight Saving Time is not observed by this time zone.", but when I set it to Tehran, it will say "There are no upcoming Daylight Saving Time changes." but does not display"Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time" checkbox. Thank you.

As far as I know, the government in Tehran uses the Persian calendar, which does not use Daylight Savings Time.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
