Hi:For the past week, when I click an icon of I.E., the Home Page/Windows 7 does not come to the screen. Instead, Warning popping up at the top part of screen saying, .... Internet Connection Problem or Network Configuration Problem. After 5 minutes or later, however the screen came, but it's very slow to open any web-pages.This issue occurs mostly at night, however for the past couple of days, it also happens during day. Until this issue started out of blue, Wireless Connection with Comcast was very smooth-ride,..... instantamously the home page popping up.Any clues on this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, 1 person needs an answerI do too

Are any devices malfunctioning? Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information. Open Components under System Summary and click on Problem Devices. Is anything listed there? Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties, Hardware, and Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code? To see Hidden Devices (Non Plug and Play Drivers) you need to select View, Show Hidden Devices. It is necessary to do this every time you open Device Manager if you need to see them. A further complication can be Ghosted Devices –installed but not connected!http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/2005/04/29/display-hidden-devices-in-device-manager-xp/ Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for Errors and Warnings and post copies here. Don't post any from than more than 48 hours ago. You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important. A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double click on the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer. This places a copy of the report into your Clipboard. Paste into the body your message. Make sure that this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell

This sounds like you are encountering a problem with your service from Comcast. In the UK I would suggest you run a speed test on your broadband connection. You can mostly likely do the same where you are. Whilst it could be the quality of your line, the timing suggests it is the volume of traffic starting when children arrive home from school until they go bed.You could compare notes with other Comcast customers.http://forums.comcast.net/Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell

Thanks for the response, above.Strangely, PC with XP has NO problem. Only Windows 7 has this issue. Since I do often in the middle of the night, there is no heavy traffic because of school-aged children.Rather, I strongly suspect 'Adaptor' which is 'G' not 'N.' On Windows 7, I may need stronger form of Adaptor?If that's the case, what form of Adaptor/ maker would be compatible with Windows 7?Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the help.Yesterday, I installed a new adaptor purchased from a local PC store. It's 'N' version, but works on both 'G' and 'N' Wireless Network. Because, in my experience through Comcast in the region where I live prefers 'G' version rather 'N' version. So far so good. If any issues would arise due to connection, I may need to contact my provider, Comcast.Finally, it's done. ..... perfectly OK with 4 bars at the right corner of the bottom.
