Network Connected equals slow unresponsive computer. Tried everything...NEED HELP!
Hello All. I am in dire need of some help. I have a Dell Inspiron 9100. I recently encounted a problem, where whenver the NIC (external-Linksys) card or internal port are activated, i.e. connects to network, my laptop becomes very sluggish, but mostly unresponsive. If i wait for a long time, hours it seems, the computer might return to normal. Now, as soon as i disconnect the card or ethernet cable, the computer after a few moments returns to normal.I tried disabling firewalls and anitvirus software, doesnt help. I downloaded a spyware removal tool and removed all spyware. No viruses scanned prior with windows one care. Cleared registry errors also. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I thought about upgrading to 2 GB memory, but really do not think the problem lies there, but could be wrong. Thank you2 people need an answerI do too
