Network Diagnostics cannot run
Whenever my network connection goes out (too frequently, I might add), I'm invited to run Network Diagnostics, But if I do, I always get an error stating that "You will need to manually start the Diagnostics[sic] Policy Service. Once this service is started, you can run Network Diagnostics." OK, So I go to services to start it. Then I always get the warning "The Diagnostic Policy Service service [sic] on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs." As if this is normal. It used to run, back in the early days of my installation. I don't know what changed to cause this. I need some solution : how to get it to stay running?

The Diagnostic Policy Service service [sic] logs Event 7000. The Diagnostic Policy Service service failed to start due to the following error: The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process. Any suggestions on how to reset it's startup parameters to the proper values would be appreciated. No, Ican't afford to reinstall the OS at this point.
