Network Drives Offline problem when Syncing offline files
Basically I have just one folder on a drive on another machine set to have offline files. The problem is that I'll get back on the network the share is on and the PC will still think that machines is unavailable and all its shares (mapped drives specifically)will be offline until I reboot it. Very annoying. This is a laptop btw with 7 ultimate that goes in and out of standby and or hibernate. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Or is there anyway to tell windows "I'm back on the network NOW LET ME IN!!" to restore the connectivity?

Please upgrade the network adapter. Make sure that the driver is compatible with Windows 7. This issue is also related to the file server. What is the system that shares the folders? Is it a Windows computer or NAS? You may change the default NTLM level and see if it works. The policy is: Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Please change “Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Just wanted to say thank you so much! Been having the problems described above for 2 months now and it's been awful trying to work and having to reboot just to be able to access the network shares after a hibernation. Local Policies\Security Options\Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Once again, thanks; offline files are now working as they should! :) // David
