Network Error on Windows 7
I am unable to log onto a laptop on a network. The computer is a HP Pavilion 6 running Windows 7. Doesn't matter whose login and password I use it comes up with the same error: The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed. I work at a school and wonder if one of the children have changed a setting. I try placing the CD in the drive to see if I could boot up off the system CD and restall Windows 7 and then network the computer again. But how do I get the computer to recognise the drive and allow me to restall, as I can't get pass the login stage??

Hi, I would like to know if the computer is in the domain environment? If so, logon as a local administrator, take the PC out of the domain, delete the workstation object from the domain if it remains. Then, restart the PC and re-join the domain. This KB also applies to Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/162797 Here is a similar issue. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistanetworking/thread/8f614ca0-0a83-4ebc-a936-d8b669ef52e9 If you want to use installation CD to reinstall Windows, you can set BIOS boot menu as boot from CD. It will read the CD content before login stage.
