Hi all, I have tried to install the LLTD protocol on my XPs only to get a message saying the service pack on the machine is newer than the update, however I cant find the protocol in the properties tab of my network adapter. Can any one help.cheers

You don't happen to have those XP boxen already updated to SP3, do you?If so, refer to this thread for links on how to fix it.

Thanks, That worked in that I now see the XP machine, problem now is I can't log on to it, cant even ping it from the vista machine. the XP machine can log on to the vists one. Any Ideas ? Cheers.

Hi, What is the exact wording of the error message when you try to access the Windows XP machine on the Windows Vista machine? To narrow down the cause of the issue, please temporarily turn off the firewall on both the Windows Vista and Windows XP machines to check the result.
