Network problem
Hi, Firstly i want to apologize for my bad english, I have one PC and one laptop on my home network. before last week every thigs was ok, but now: The PC is accessible from laptop and i can see shared files, but the IIS of pc is not accessible and when i enter the IP of PC i encounter error 404, and my PC can not be an internet server any more, however IIS is working correctly in local host(in PC). Is this problem about network and how can solve? Thanks.

You have to make sure that IIS program works fine with correct configuration, if not it won't be accessed successfully. Please make sure there is no firewall blocking (Windows firewall, antivirus firewall, etc) on that IIS server too. Hope this helps. Dawooddoe Home Network & Wireless Network Help

Hi Dawooddoe and thanks for your answer, The fire wall is off and antivirus is unable. But preblem exist. Is there any things like that that can causes this? Last days i worked with group policies, can they cause this problem? regards.

404 error code means File/Directory not found on the web server, so make sure that IIS website is referring to the correct directory. Also, what did you do last week after which you started getting this error? i.e. installed a patch, created a new website etc. This may give you/us a nice clue as to what might have gone wrong.

Yep, check event viewer. Also, check Add/Remove Programs and see what got installed/uninstalled last week.
