Network sharing problem
I have two computers here which are basically set up the same. # 1 is my main computer and #2 is my backup computer. Drive 0 in each consists of 5 partitions. Windows 7 is on C, the first partition, and XP Pro is on D, the second partition. Both originally had Vista on their C drives. I did clean installs of Windows 7 on both and used VistaBoot Pro to regain access to my XP partition. I did $1 last winter and #2 just two days ago. My problem is that I cannot access the C drive on machine #2 from machine #1. I have a backup application called Second Copy that automatically backs up machine #1 to machine #2 nightly. Except that it won't work since it can't access the C drive on machine #2. When trying to access it with Windows Explorer, I get "Access Denied". This problem now exists no matter which operating system I'm running on either machine. The reverse is not true. Machine #2 can see the C drive on machine #1 from either OS, regardless of which OS I'm running on Machine #1 as well. All my settings on machine #2 match the ones I have on machine #1. I don't use any passwords. Password sharing is turned off. Before I installed Windows 7 on machine #2, I cloned the hard drive just in case. At present I put the cloned drive (with Vista) back in so my backup will work. Does anyone have any idea at all what might be restricting the C drive on machine #2?
