Hello! I'm seeing that others seem to have similar but not exactly the same problems that I have. I have an MSI K9VGM main board with VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet NIC onboard. Have worked perfectly in XP. Yesterday, I installed my msdnaa copy of Windows 7 Professional x86, Build 7600. I was amazed by install speed and alot, but after a minute or two, a yellow triangle showed on network connection, stating No Network Access so, I tried to troubleshoot it with built in support. it resetted the "Local Area Network" adapter and then it showed fine. for a minute or two. then I get the nasty yellow triangle again. "The Default Gateway is not available" comes up. troubleshooting again and it repairs. but same again, and again. It's either of these two errors. I try to boot Safe Mode to see if it helps, but no. Also, at any point trying to modify settings to the network adapter, the process will go to a not responding state, I have tried to disable the adapter, it went not responding, I tried to turn off power saving, it goes not responding, I changed Negotiation from auto to see if that was the problem, but it goes to not responding. Also, each time I have tried something of above, shutdown will hang, and a hard reset is needed. If I haven't tried to change, I have no problems rebooting or shutting down. Also, if I have had to hard reset during shutdown, the network adapter is disabled on startup. enabling it works though, but after a minute or two, it goes nuts again. There is NOTHING installed on the computer but the plain Win 7. I also tried to get the LAN drivers from MSI (for Vista x86) but nothing helped. suggestions anyone?

Well, now I went purchase another Ethernet card and put in to the computer, and it works perfectly, so something is wrong with the support or drivers of that other card, as I can tell.
