Networked Apps run very slow after Windows 7 upgrade
I have a several year old Pavillion a545c. In it's day it was a high end XP machine (2.2 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, 200GB disk). I upgraded it to I Vista a while ago and it ran ok. More recently I upgraded to Win 7 and it runs local apps great but networked apps (browser, email) run very slow. I ran the Windows 7 upgrade advisor and that says I should be fine. I ran driver diagnostics and all drivers are good. I checked HPs support site and there is no BIOS updates for Windows Vista or 7 so I am now guessing that I might be screwed. Any suggestions?

In my opinion, there are several things you could look at. I would start with upgrading the RAM to 4GB. That little bit could make a difference with an older PC running Windows 7. You could also try adjusting Performance Options for best performance, just a couple little things that should help out.
