I have noticed that the right click options for creating files is missing. I often used this function to create txt files, excelle files, and others. With this functionality missing I find it more difficult to maniluate windows the way I am used to. Perhaps there is a method of enabling this feature, otherwise I would like to see this feature re-implemented back into windows.

I believe I have solved my own problem, after taking ownership of the folder I was able to do what I wanted.
