New Updates Available even when there are none
Problem: Windows Update Tray Notification Icon displays in the taskbar stating "New updates are available". When the Windows Update utility is run, it states that there are no updates available. Run Check for Windows Update and there are still no updates, but the Tray Icon persists.I've rebooted quite a bit. I have 1 update hidden (for Toshiba HDD Protection driver), so I'm wondering if there is a bug in that?I recently rebuilt this machine because that very same Toshiba HDD Protection driver, when installed, obliterated my previous install (many directories missing after first reboot, then OS would not even load after 2nd reboot). I never had this issue on the first beta install of the Public Beta. It only happened when I installed the OS from scratch again, then installed a couple of newly released updates for Win 7.This is build 7000 on a Toshiba Tecra M10.

Are you talking about the standard Windows Update systray icon or the one that says "Toshiba - new updates available"? The latterjust appeared on my Tecra and nothing happens when I double-click on it, so my next step is not apparent.
