No IP address. Windows XP Home destroyed wireless connection when service pack 3 installed.
After I installed service pack 3 (XP home) my IP address is 0.0.0.0. on my wireless network. I have tried everything to fix this including: Microsoft "fixcss" hot fix. I uninstalled anti-virus, uninstalled & reinstalled sp3, ran Norton sys registry fix, ran fixcss (according to the directions in safe mode), downloaded all new drivers for wireless card, Nothing works! If I hard wire to the cable modem w/ ethernet it works. Service pack 3 destroyed my ability to connect via wireless.Dell Dimension 8400 x86 family processor4 GB RAMD-Link DWA-552 wireless2 people need an answerI do too

I have the exact same problem, but mine is wired to the modem and still does not work.IP address is 0.0.0.0. additionally, i can not remove the SP3 update and I can not do a restore to go back before this was installed. Why to Microsoft "fixes" break the computer?
