No Internet Access Windows 7
I have a laptop that has Windows 7 and XP on it. Whenever I use Windows 7 I am unable to access the internet. We have a network that has a the following: Watchguard Firewall DHCP/DNS/Domain Controller server running Windows 2003 D Link Switches Any machine that has Windows 7 on it can connect to the local network. It shows the domain, they get proper ip address, subnet, gateway and dns information assigned to them. You can ping and access any internal/local resource i.e. servers, other machines, etc. The status indicator in the task area says "No internet access". This is the same if it is connected wired or wireless. Network Connection Sharing shows the domain and a red x between it and the internet. Under active networks it shows the domain and it is assigned as Work network. If I switch to XP on the same laptop everything work fine. In fact none of the XP machines we have on our network have any issue, only Windows 7 machines. Taking the same laptop home and connecting to a home network that consists of Cable Modem -->Linksys Router, there is no issue. I can access the internet with Windows 7 or XP. I have tried so many different things but still can't seem to get things work.

Just a suggestion, but check your Watchguard Firewall's settings. If it's also managing outbound traffic it may have the capability to limit connections by OS version. You may also want to check for something similar in your domain's group policies.
