Hi there! I have a problem with my new windows 7. It can't get an IP address from my router when in normal mode. In safemode it can connect to the internet. I had zone alarm and I took it off for trouble shooting but still got same problem. I scanned for malwares and spywares. Still got nothing. Clean booting also did not help. As well as system restore. Thinking or Reinstalling the operating system but I hope anyone here can come up with suggestion first. Any suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance! i properly UNinstalled zone alarm. windows defender is disable. also reinstalled the winsock. I have another computer which works just fine in the same rj45 cable that goes to this computer. but when I plug it back to this computer it still don't connect in normal mode. it can't even get an IP address. but when I go to safemode with networking it connects :( I'm almost giving up here but that means I have to reinstall hundreds of apps. thanks again mrx!Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
