No Network Connection Options
I have been having a bunch of probs with my computer, I finally removed the C drive and replaced it with my D drive and re-installed windows. I have a FIOS connection for my internet with Verizon. When I go to network connections, it shows nothing. I can't connect. The verizon guy told me that my computer was screwed up and I needed to take it in because it doesn't see anywhere to connect. In other words, my computer cannot connect because it's broke. that sounded so bogus to me so I took the NEW C (Old D)drive out and replaced it with the one I was having probs with and connected to the internet (in safe mode) with no problems. and when I go to network settings there, there are 3 icons there. Anyone know why there are no network connection options in the newly installed windows? It's XP home edition, service pack 1a Thanks, Leah1 person needs an answerI do too

You need to install your network card drivers. Go to your computer manufacturer's website, to see if you can not download the drivers.

Ok, I will have to go to the library with a thumb drive and hope I can download it to that. I did look on Dell's website and see all the drivers there. I'm looking to see if I can order a new CD with all of that stuff on there, it came with drivers but it's for the modem. Thanks

What is your service tag ID number? And what is the model number to your laptop? I will help you find the drivers for the network adapters.

Did you tried updating to the SP3? It may be an OS issue, and with the latest patches could be solved.
