This afternoon I roused my computer from standby to discover that the user account screen (which it had gone to after rebooting from an Auto-Update last night) contained no accounts to click on. Usually it just automatically logs in, but not this time. I have tried everything I could think of to remedy this problem on my own, including multiple permutations of restart in Safe Mode(trying Admin account, etc.) and re-installing XP Home(normally and using the Shift+F10 method described elsewhere for accessing user accounts), to no avail. I really don't want to have to wipe the hard drive, but is there anything else I can do?1 person needs an answerI do too
