No curser with virtual machines installed in Windows 7 RC
I have installed Windows 7 RC on a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. After adding Virtual PC 2007, I tried loading Vista SP1 and XP SP3 in the virtual machine. The operating systems loaded OK, but neither would support the TouchPad - no curser to navigate with. I tried navigating with keyboard shortcuts, but could not find a way to load drivers (if that was the issue). Any suggestions?(There are no other hardware issues runningWindows 7 RC on this laptop. There are no other application problems on this platform so far.)

Bluesjack -I think the problem here is that you're running Virtual PC 2007 on Windows 7. According to the web site with the download for Virtual PC 2007, the only supported operating systems are:"Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition (32-bit x86); Windows Server 2003, Standard x64 Edition; Windows Vista Business; Windows Vista Business 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Enterprise; Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit edition; Windows Vista Ultimate; Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition; Windows XP Professional Edition ; Windows XP Professional x64 Edition ; Windows XP Tablet PC Edition "Note Windows 7 is NOT included in the list. There may be issues - such as the one you're having - with this particular combination. It's not supported yet.If your hardware properly supports virtualization, you might want to consider downloading the XP Mode beta found here.

Thank you for your thoughts. I have removed Windows 7 as my foundation platform and reinstalled XP MCE 2005. I plan to add Virtual PC with Vista, Windows7 and Server 2008 to work with and study. Thanks again for your reply.Kindly yours,Bluesjack
