No dial tone in windows Fax and scan with windows 7
Hey guys, I really need some help. My boss having a windows 7 desktop connected to the modem and fax and scan machines. He is using windows fax and scan. He is having a problem with caller ID, for some reason he can not see the incoming fax subjects, senders name number. So i post the problem on a forum. I god a reply to update a driver and I did , Thats it another big issue appeared. Now he is no longer able to send or receive fax. When we try to send or receive a fax it shows us an error massage saying that , No dial tone was detected, The phone line is busy or the modem is not connected to the computer. I wonder What I can do to make it run. I really need your help guys... please.. Thank you Regards

Hi Micky, First, please verify that a working phone line is plugged into the modem. If the issue persists, go to Start, click Devices and Printers, right click on the problematic fax and then click Troubleshoot. Follow the wizard to see if the fax issue can be resolved. Also, uninstall the fax driver and then download a fresh copy which is compatible with Windows 7 from the manufacturer to check the issue.
