What is the program you would like to install? I suspect that this is a software compatibility issue. The program may be designed for Windows XP. If you set to show hidden system files you can see some junctions in My Document. The program may try to find My Music, My Movies or My Pictures folders and under My Document it can find the junctions but if the installation is in any subfolder the junctions cannot be found. What is the result if you run the installation in Windows XP SP3 compatible mode?Arthur Xie - MSFT

Hi, It is not a junction problem. The junctions help you to install programs that are designed for Windows XP in Windows 7. The location of the junctions are by design. We cannot change them. The problem is the design of the programs. If you would like to run the installations in any subfolder under My Documents without Windows XP compatibility mode, you may try the following method to add a path in variable. To do so, please click Start, right-click on Computer, choose Advanced system settings. Then click Environment Variables. Under System variables, find the variable Path, click Edit. Add the following entry at the end. %userprofile%\My Document Please note that you need a ; to divide the new variable and the previous one. However, if the installation program does not look for files with the path variable of system but its own settings, this method will not work. In this case, we may need to wait for the programs publishers to resolve this issue.Arthur Xie - MSFT

my MY DOCUMENTS folder is not in %userprofile%\My Document because it's not a good idea to keep it in the same drive as windows just in case you need to format the windows drive and for the same reason it's not a good idea to save anything in the windows drive except installed software any way my documents folder is in drive d as in d:\my documents but it's an hebrew OS so the name appear in hebrew but in cmd dirit's my document and the programmer shouldconsider what i said before because most people does who knows something about computers any way automaticly transfer this folder to a diffrent partition but i will try addind d:\my documents to the path veriable or something like this and will see how it goes and report later andthanks for the idea.:)
