Hello,

Running Forefront Protection 2010 for SharePoint and the Norman Virus Control engine and definitions have not updated since the 29th January. The logs show that an update check is being carried out but that Forefront does not think that there are any new definitions.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Same issue here.  So you're not the only one.  Curious if they are offline for good or just temporarily.

Yep, excactly the same issue here with our Exchange 2010 FPE.  Stopped all FF services and deleted all files within in C:\Windows\Temp\nsetmp then restarted services.  The tow huge files came back - same size as previously.

Same issue here. FPE 2010 here. Check goes great, seems like there is no update available for some reason.

No solution found.

Same here with the Exchange version on all five of our servers and a manual update of that that engine explicitly makes no difference. MS have't depreciated it and not told anyone have they?

Same issue here.  I think Microsoft has abandoned ForeFront Protection 2010 for Exchange entirely.   No?

According to this page http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?LN=en-us&c2=12300&x=16&y=20 both Forefront for SharePoint 2010 and Exchange 2010 will be supported until Dec. 31st 2015.

Apparently MS think it is not important enough to bother letting customers know!?

Mine are now as well.

Side question..    how many e-mails have your ForeFront scanned?   What percentage has been stopped/blocked by ForeFront?   90% of ours are false positives where the message is too large...

All 5 of our servers upated overnight. Would have nice to have been kept in the loop by MS, but apparently that is too much to ask. Let's hope this doesn't happen again.

We're currently running Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange 2010. We had the same symptoms as above  for a few days before they started updating again. Recently we've been having problems updating only the Norman AV. Is anybody else experiencing this again?
