One of WinXP LAN Computers cannot access to a http site.
I ping to the alphanumeric address (on that computer) and the ping uses a IP Private Address: 198.168.88.68 (All packets are lost). All the other computers on the LAN access properly. When I ping to the same Aphanumeric address on other computersThey ping 204.38.19.76 and I recieve correctly all the packets back.I'm connecting using a ADSL router from my Internet Provider. I know it does NAT and all my LAN computers get their IP addresses dinamically.I tought It was an Internet Explorer issue but After I discovered the computer resolves the ip address for that external address as a private IP address. I force this PC to get another IP address and also I had used: ipconfig /release , also ipconfig /renew. And even configuring it with a static ip doesn't work.

Hi198.168.88.68 is a private IP and can not go over the Internet.204.38.19.76 is an Internet IP that belongs to Merit Network Inc., thus it pings over the Internet as it should. What is the alphanumeric address are you using?Try the use this command in an admin command prompt.ipconfig /flushdns press Enter Jack-MVP Windows Networking. Actually I didn't publish the real internet public address which is: 200.38.208.204I haven't tried the ipconfig /flushdns ---> I'll try it maybe tomonrrow because computer ower will be to busy today. But I had of course turned off the computer, and restarted it. Doesn't it flush dns, I mean every time I turn it off and on?.

Hi I just tried the ipconfig /flushdns with no result. Checked already the admin permissions. but no solution.. still have the problem. Also tried to open the site with Internet Explorer with no ADD-ONS. With no results. Now I tried https://200.38.208.204/smartdistribuidores/ And works fine so. This a DNS issue! Why only this computer in all the LAN solve thehttps://www.region9.telcel.com as an RFC1918 address (192.168.88.68)???And how to solve this issue without telling my boss to use her computer with the numeric address?
