One way direction problem with windows ICS
hi, I have two private networks. One networks is 192.168.168.* and the other one is 192.168.0.* (assigned by windows ICS). The first private network comes from usb modem and gets attached to the widows machine and from the windows Ethernet LAN the second network gets connected. Now I have used ICS for usb modem to share the network. Hence, it has assigned the 192.168.0.* network to the underlying machines in the network. These machines can communicate with 192.168.168.* network. But the 192.168.168.* network is unable to communicate with 192.168.0.* network why is it like that? can someone please help me?

Different network can communicate if routing is established. I do not fully understand your description. IMHO this may be a bit simpler Internet > USB modem > Computer PC1 with ICS enabled > local network. In the case that there are only several computers, set static address in all computers (example): PC1 IP=192.168.3.1, Mask=255.255.255.0, DG=blank, DNS=8.8.8.8 PC2 IP=192.168.3.2, Mask=255.255.255.0, DG=192.168.3.1, DNS=8.8.8.8 PC2 IP=192.168.3.3, Mask=255.255.255.0, DG=192.168.3.1, DNS=8.8.8.8 PC2 IP=192.168.3.4, Mask=255.255.255.0, DG=192.168.3.1, DNS=8.8.8.8 etc

hi, thank you very much! This is how i am connected. Test-Network (192.168.168.4)>Windows machine with ICS enabled>local network I can communicate from the local network to the test-network. But the test network machine is unable to communicate with local network? I googled almost everything. couldnt find a solution :( Do you mean, I need to add a routing table in the windows machine (static route)? I also tried this way, try to set up a bridge and add the two IP's to the bride and make forwarding enable? The usb dail-up modem doesnt show any bridge options?
