Open File Security Warning - unknown publisher
Windows 7 on notebook joined to domainWindows Server 2008 StandardHave desktop,my docs, start menu redirection enabled (working fine on WXP machines)when logged into notebook using domain user account, any items that are added to taskbar or start menu get an Open File security warning, unknown publisher (type shortcut) when you try to launch them. This even includes shortcuts to apps on the machine, such as remote desktop connection, media player, even IE itself. If I log onto machine using a local user account, I do not get this behaviour. This applies to existing domain userornewly created domain user. This behaviour does not apply to existing local user, or a newly created local user.

Hello,Right-click on the file giving you this warning, and choose Properties. On the General tab of Properties, click on Unblock (Apply, OK).If you want to disable this warning, Create an environment variable: SEE_MASK_NOZONECHECKS and give it the value 1:1. Click start button, right click Computer and choose properties.2. Click Advanced system settings, in Advanced tab, click Environment variable button under "User variable ".3. Click New to add environment variable. If this did not work, add your domain account to local administrators group. Thomas77
