Please let us know followiing ALL information request:(1) Your computer maker (HP/Dell/etc), Model #, (2) RAM size, Hard drive size, (3) Is it Laptop, Desktop or Netbook?(4) Do you have Firewall/Antivirus? Which?(5) Are you using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat/Distiller? Latter created PDF files. Then download following two porgrams:CCleaner: (removes\erases junk temps, cleans registry & more)http://download.piriform.com/ccsetup234.exeDownload Adobe Reader 9.3:http://www.filehippo.com/download_adobe_reader/Install and Run CCleaner to remove junk temporary files. Then go to second tab on left side "Registry" > Scan for Issues > Fix Selected Issues > at popup accept to make a backup. This back up will allow you to restore in case registry cleaning goes awry (some possibility). Then Run Adobe Reader Installation, making sure you have internet connection established. There may be between 2 - 46MB update once Adobe is installed..This will not only solve your OS error, but you will be able to use PDF in less time ( I guess in 1 hour or less). There may be file association that may be broken which is easy to fix. Since you did not provide enough information, I assume oyu do not have update Adobe Reader.
