Opening port 491 on ISA

We recently purchased Go-Global to enable our branch office connect to some applications in the Head office.

On opening the client side to connect to the server, the error message "Failed to connect to "41......67" on port 491.

The host side of the application was configured on a member server that is behind ISA 2004(2 NIC -external and internal)

I have created access rules on ISA to open TCP and UDP port 491 but no success.

Please your swift response would be appreciated.

Hi,

The client who tries to connect to the destination host must be a SecureNAT or ISA Firewallclient.
The Firewall policy rule must allow the request for all users if the SecureNAT client is used.

Protocol direction must be TCP outgoing or UDP send and receive.

Please also have a look into the ISA realtime logging and tell us the results

Hi,

Additionally, you should check if the service using prot 491 works well in you head office.
